Welcome to Viv's School of Motoring.

I have been a fully qualified ADI since 2002 (currently level 5), I am a member of the Driving Instructors Association and registered to deliver the Pass Plus course.

I have a 100% pass rate and an excellent first time pass rate. I became a driving instructor because I thoroughly enjoy teaching and coaching new drivers. I have recently been appointed as the local 'Schools Ambassador' for the AA.

You can expect an encouraging, supportive and patient learning environment and a good sense of humour. My ethos is to encourage new drivers to enjoy driving safely and considerately, as well as reaching test standard in good time.

I have over 30 years experience in training and management. I completed the 'Certificate in Training and Development' and became an Associate Member of 'The Institute of Personnel and Development' during my career.

I provide lessons in Cardiff, Barry, Penarth and the Vale.

The AA and the car

I am franchised to the AA and my instruction vehicle is a brand new air conditioned Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec (changed every 6 months). The Focus is lovely car to drive and many people find it useful to learn in a small family sized car.

Your progress will be individually monitored via the AA's pupil workbook which contains lots of information. You will also have your own access to the AA website which is excellent and contains animations, lessons details, quizzes and support for passing your theory and practical tests. I can also supply AA learning materials including theory/hazard perception test CD Roms and books at reduced prices.

Prices

The AA regularly advertises special offers (please see www.theAA.com - currently driving lessons from £10.50 per hour, with further discounts for block bookings of up to 12 hours). I am also able to offer discounts with prices as low as £17.50 for block bookings. Lessons can be booked online or via the AA's customer service team on 0800 9801834 (please quote driver no 546128, and ask for me by name if booking direct with the AA), or direct with me on at the contact details below.
